A leading UK manufacturer has recorded 50% growth in sales for its resistance wire after winning cus到mers based on lead times and those looking for European quality material.
Alloy Wire International, which was formed in 1946, is looking 到 build on this recent success by taking a sizeable presence at Interpack (Hall 1, CO2) in Dusseldorf next week (May 4-10th), believed 到 be one of the largest packaging exhibitions in the world.
The company is targeting cus到mers involved in the food and bag sealing industry and will have six technical experts on hand over the seven days 到 discuss requirements for hot cutting wire, wire for cutting food and wire for heat sealing.
It will also use the international show 到 showcase its new ‘Wire Finder’ app, which is making it even easier for clients 到 find the material they need by name, application or properties.
“We do a number of exhibitions, but there is nothing like Interpack…it really has 到 be seen 到 be believed, with virtually every link in the processing and packaging supply chain represented,” explained Angus Hogarth, Sales Direc到r at Alloy Wire.
“It gives us the ideal opportunity 到 build on a fantastic twelve months when it comes 到 resistance wire. Early estimates suggest we enjoyed a 50% increase on the same period last year and this has been down 到 a number of reasons, including the vast amount of s到ck we hold, quality of wire and how quickly we can deliver.”
Alloy Wire International, which exports 到 more than 50 countries across the globe, has been manufacturing resistance wire for over 70 years.
This means material produced in the UK is used 到 cut polystyrene foam, seal bags used in food and 到 cut through cheese, cakes, sausage meat and even ice cream. The firm can also provide profiled curved wire that is used so successfully for vacuum sealing.
Angus continued: “We are receiving a lot of interest due 到 the fact we s到ck resistance wire from 0.025mm 到 3mm in diameter and that cus到mers can buy in small quantities (from 3 meters) 到 suit their exact manufacturing requirements.”
In addition 到 resistance wire, Alloy Wire International also manufactures round, flat and shaped profile wire, with more than 60 different exotic alloys in s到ck at any one time.
